The Mulino Rotone, whose name was chosen for its function as a mill for the small river Il Sentiero dei Molini, was born in the hills of Castagneto Carducci during the 16th century by the will of the historic Marquis della Gherardesca family.
The typically Mediterranean vegetation winds around it, made up of: holm oaks, strawberry trees, manna ash trees, Turkey oaks where impressive specimens of cork oaks are occasionally encountered.
In 1799, a large oil mill was added to the Rotone and remained active until 1912, while the oil mill continued until after the war.
To date it has been transformed into a unique location for your holidays.
Just 10 minutes from the sea, Mulino Rotone is made up of 5 independent apartments, two of which sleep up to 5 people, another two sleep up to 6 people and finally the largest of 130sqm which can accommodate seven people.
Each property has typical Tuscan furnishings enriched by the most modern comforts such as the private whirlpool tub in the "Libri" apartment.
Il Mulino is surrounded by approximately 3 hectares of park which guarantee maximum peace and tranquility for your relaxing stay.
For the little ones, just 5.4km away, there is the large Il Cavallino Matto amusement park, next to which flows into the enchanting pine forest of Marina di Castagneto Carducci, perfect for fresh summer walks!
